Strong Words For Use In A Resume
A resume is an exceedingly important document when you're attempting to advance or change your career. The way you format your resume and the wording you use matters. Financially orientated career resumes benefit from words like ‘demonstrated ‘ (results), surpassed (goals), successfully predicted (markets or trends), subsidized and created. When you're coping with other people's cash or that of a company – all those accomplishments matter. They represent the type of worker who generates results.
What about consumer service? Look to words like ‘collaborated ‘ (for more satisfactory results), reinforced or enriched (the customer’s experience), fulfilled or surpassed (buyer expectations), steered (with excellent advice), implemented or began (a successful plan), and commended (categorical actions). There are definitely many levels to consumer service depending on the field, but again this is about adjusting your resume so it really sings.
An academic resume should ideally include words like increased (student grades or attendance), pioneered (new teaching plans), coached (explicit successful or well known students), promoted (student work or accomplishments), supported (struggling students), tutored and trained. As with other examples in this piece you need to quantify your power words with specific , but transient examples.
